1
st day: Arrival
Arrive at Aigle in Switzerland at the Hotel du Nord any time during the afternoon. In the evening dinner and briefig of that exciting week of border hopping between France and Switzerl to eventually end up in Chamonix, at the foot of Mt Blanc, the highest mountain in western Europe.

2nd day: Les Portes du Soleil
Start the day with a short bus trip from Aigle to Torgon on the Swiss edge of the famous Portes du Soleil ski area. During the day you will pass through many well-known villages such as Chatel,Morgins and Avoriaz to arrive at Morzine where you will spend the next two nights. Don't forget your swimming costume for the hotel pool and dancing shoes for the disco! Hotel le Petit Dru, Morzine, France

3th day: Les Portes du Soleil
More of the huge Portes du Soleil area skiing the world cup runs of Avoriaz, then in to Switzerland to Champery and Les Crosets and Back again into France. We finish the day with the scenic 1000m descent of the Col du Fornet from the back of Avoriaz down to the rustic bar at Erigne where we top of the day with some local wine tasting.

4th day: Les Portes du Soleil : Morzine - Samoëns
Beginning with a cable car ride to the Pointe de Nyon from where we can look back at our tracks of yesterday, maybe through virgin snow, down to Erigne. Leaving the Portes du Soleil we enter the Grand Massif area skiing over le Ranfolly, Mt Chery and La Chamossiere. Once again our last run is the most exciting. Off piste ( there is easy alternative available) down to Samoens where we sip the local wine watching the sun set over the distant spectacle of Mt Blanc.

5th day: Le Grand Massif Today is the Grand Massif.
The cable car from Samoens takes us to the plateau from where we will ski Morillon, Les Carroz, and Flaine. The finale for the day is the long and picturesque 14km run via the Lac de Gers to Sixt and then back to Samoens

6th day: St. Gervais - Megève
An early morning transfer takes us to St Gervais from where we ski to Megeve, a favorite haunt of the french "glitterati". After lunch we catch the scenic rack railway to the top of Les Houches and ski the womens' World Cup Downhill course before taking the ski bus to Chamonix.

7th day: Vallée Blanche
The adventure continues in Chamonix where it would be a sin to leave without experiencing the grandeur of for famous Vallee Blanche glacier. The cable car takes us to the restaurant at the top of the Aiguille du Midi at 3842metres. After admiring the spectacular views and warming up with a hot chocolate we follow our expert guide down the open runs and winding paths of the glacier.

8th day: Departure
After breakfast we reluctantly go our separate ways. >From the train station in Chamonix, one may take the small scenic train over the top into Switzerland (Martigny) to join up with a major train route, take the train further in to France, or the bus to Geneva.

The ski safari route described above is a selection of the many possible routes in the vast Dolomites ski area. Program and accommodation are subject to change.
